Miu Miu men's traditional footwear is quite hard to find and offers a rare example of the label's superb eye for proportion. While the line's tend to be resoundingly strange, cobbler-made designs capture the label's forward-thinking spirit through the subtleties of traditional craftsmanship. In our view, it is this intersection of novel and classic that defines Miu Miu's best work.

Dated somewhere between 2006 and 2008, these rare Chelsea boots are a terrific example of the label's idiosyncratic approach. The upper has a cut-off ankle-length silhouette and a striking point toe with a slight upwards curve. The distinctive shape is emphasised by a pronounced stitched welt and a thick leather sole with chunky geometric rubber treads. Linear elastic inserts add a modernist accent on the shoes' quarter, while a black cotton tape pull tab finishes the back.

The upper is crafted from calfskin in a beautiful matte grey shade, with a black stacked leather midsole and treaded rubber outsole. The interior is fully lined in leather.
